Danny is excited to announce that has been nominated for “Outstanding Culinary Host” at the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmys (2015). As the host of Z Living’s “Good Food America,” he traveled the U.S. seeking out the very best organic, farm-to-table restaurants in the U.S.
With a decade of broadcasting experience, Danny has built his brand in the U.S. and across the globe, becoming well known to audiences for his culinary work and dynamic personality. Danny empowers viewers and consumers with fun, healthy lifestyle choices and creative options.
Danny’s other credits include host of ABC Daytime’s Emmy nominated Recipe Rehab and Food Network and The Cooking Channel’s Donut Showdown (2013). Danny was also a senior correspondent for ABC’s “The Chew”(2011) and hosted two seasons of the Food Network series “Rescue Chef” (2008-10).
In every respect Danny strives to bring his passion for food and culinary exploration to homes, schools and lecture halls across America. He shares his fresh perspective and practical, no-fuss recipes and techniques through cooking workshops, experiences, courses and private lessons.
As a former European professional ice hockey player, Danny is an active sportsman. Danny’s experiences on the ice, in the kitchen and traveling the country as a self-proclaimed “gastronaut,” enabled him to further promote the benefits of healthy eating and exercise by creating the non-profit organization, Better Fed.
Danny started his culinary training in 1999 as a cook in Switzerland – doubling up as an au pair for a local family. He later trained at the acclaimed West Wind Inn in Canada and attended the Grange Cookery School in England. His first post as a young chef was at the fashionable Asia de Cuba restaurant in St. Martins Lane London Hotel, which ignited his passion for fusion cookery.
Currently, Danny is partnered with the UK based Calmababy and Selina’s Kitchen and Bakery, spearheading a menu redevelopment for their brand expansion, focused on nutrient-conscious food for prenatal and postnatal women and families.
