Danielle Vincent is a beauty lifestyle expert and professional makeup artist. There is no major difference between men’s and women’s moisturizers, except for the often heavy ‘cologne’ type of fragrance found in men’s products and the packaging, of course. Quite often men’s formulations have not been on par with the ‘women’s’, however, this is definitely changing. One men’s moisturizer that I highly recommend is by Jack Black and is called Sun Shield SPF 20 and has now been repackaged/relabeled as Double Duty Face Moisture SPF 20.

For women, I recommend a 4-in-1 by Kimiko, the Hydrating Tint SPF 20, which serves as moisturizer, skin treatment, non-chemical SPF 20 (all those with sensitive skin take note) and a light coverage which evens skin and gives a beautiful radiance. This is a fan favorite because it is hypoallergenic, fragrance-free and oil-free.

Great skincare basics are using a broad-spectrum SPF during the day and really excellent anti-oxidant serum or treatment at night. This is when the skin repairs itself and when cells turn over and is a great time to feed the skin with free-radical scavenging antioxidants.
